The O2, one of the most popular entertainment venues in London, will once again play host to Conference Week, a dedicated event for event planners in 2017. The inaugural event, previously announced for this September, attracted a substantial amount of early interest.
Conference Week was first announced to the industry in November 2015 and the opening week of events will take place at The O2 in September. The advanced popularity of the event has led the venue to announce details of the 2017 week already.
This highlights the capabilities and capacity of the venue to host major events over several days. The week will also see The O2 use many of its smaller spaces for breakout groups, team building sessions, and intimate corporate meetings.
Since the first announcement of Conference Week, the venue has received enquiries totalling more than £1 million and has won four new arena business contracts.
Space at The O2
Already popular as an entertainment and music venue, the O2 is also an ideal space for corporate occasions. It has hosted events for many prestigious clients, including Thomson Reuters, St James’ Palace and MasterCard. With the capacity to run events for as little as 3,500 people up to those needing space for 15,000 delegates, it has a range of different sized spaces available for hire.
Being close to the River Thames, it has a prime position on the southern side of the river and is accessible by the Transport for London system, as well as the possibility of providing Thames boat hire deals for attendees.
This year’s Conference Week takes place from 4th – 11th September and the event will run in the same week in 2017.
