No booking can be confirmed until a completed and signed copy of the Booking Form has been returned and the deposit or full payment has been received.
By booking your Private Charter with Thames Boat Hire, any person named on the Booking Form shall be considered the Hirer.
You are bound by the Terms & Conditions of the Operating Company and shall be liable for all charges made by the Company.
Bookings are not guaranteed until cleared funds of the boat hire charge have been paid and cleared. All remaining balances must be paid at least two weeks prior to the function date. Payments after this date must be made in cash/bank transfer or credit/debit card.
Client cancellations will forfeit any deposits received or if possible will be transferred to another date agreeable to both parties.
Company cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances will be transferred to another vessel of similar size and style where possible or fully refunded.
The company have the right to refuse any party where guests are under 21 years old.
All vessels fully comply with Marine Coastal Agency safety and insurance regulations.
Vessels are allowed on the pier from 15 minutes before your embarkation time and will\return to the pier 15 minutes before the disembarkation time to allow passengers time to disembark.
Additional embarkation or disembarkation stops will be charged at £40. Higher fees apply to privately owned piers
Fully licensed bars operate on all of our vessels and operate a over 21 policy. No person under the age of 21 is permitted to consume alcohol on board our vessels. ID is required to purchase alcohol on board our vessels.
OWN ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED ON ANY OF OUR VESSELS
Any unauthorised alcohol will be confiscated with the possibility that the function will be terminated.
Account bars must be pre-arranged and agreed. Payment can be made before the function with a limit set or by cash/card on the day. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that all guests are aware of any limitations set on the bar account i.e., no spirits to be served, no double measures etc….
OWN CATERING IS NOT PERMITTED ON ANY OF OUR VESSELS
Unless in addition to catering ordered through the operating Company.
Our caterers are fully certified and hold all relevant qualifications and certifications in regards to the preparation and handling of food.
The King Edward has been awarded a 4 star rating for food hygiene.
Clients are permitted to supply entertainment free of surcharges with the exception of a disco. Our resident DJ can accommodate most tastes. All electrical equipment supplied by any act must carry PAT certifications. All equipment must be supplies by the client.
Clients are permitted up to 1 hour before the function (where possible) free of charge to set up any entertainment equipment. Additional hours will be charged at the standard hourly rate or part thereof.
All of our vessels operate a no smoking policy. Smoking is only permitted on outside areas
The company cannot accept responsibility for any lost or stolen items on board any of their vessels. Any damage caused to the vessel, or its contents, will be charged to the hirer. Clients are invited to inspect the vessel on boarding and ask the Captain to note any damage.
WE OPERATE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY TOWARDS VIOLENT AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR ON BOARD ANY OF THEIR VESSELS.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS POLICY WOULD RESULT IN TERMINATION OF THE FUNCTION AND NOTIFICATION TO THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES
