Thames Terrace Booking Terms and Conditions


No booking can be confirmed until a completed and signed copy of the Booking Form has been received.
No charter will be deemed confirmed until the deposit has been received.

By booking your Private Charter with Thames Boat Hire, any person named on the Booking Form shall be considered the Hirer.
You are bound by the below Terms & Conditions of the Operating Company and shall be liable for all charges made by the operating Company.

DEPOSITS
Deposits are payable as follows and are non refundable:

On confirmation Boat Hire
14 days prior to the function Remaining Balance

Any additional charges over and above the estimated catering spend/total account will be invoiced after the event and are subject to immediate payment.
The Operating Company reserves the right to vary the terms at its discretion.

CANCELLATION In the event of cancellation of a booking for any reason, the Operating Company reserves the right to levy cancellation charges as follows:

Deposit non refundable
1 month prior to event 50% of total
Between one month and 14 days 75% of total
14 days or less prior to event 100% of total

If a booking is based on a minimum spend and no deposit has been made, then 100% of the total minimum spend must be paid to the Operating Company.

CHARGES All charges are quoted exclusive of VAT except where specified.

Numbers The Client is to provide regular updates of any changes in the predicted number of attendees. Final catering numbers must be confirmed 72 hours prior to the event (Thursday before noon if the function is on Monday). You will be charged for the highest number of confirmed or attendees on the day. This also applies to a pre-paid drinks package.

No Alcohol Required In the event that no alcohol is required from The Yacht London, minimum spend and/or corkage fees apply (see below).

Timing Any overrun must be by prior arrangement. Any event ending after 12pm will incur extra service charges; full details are available on request.
Catering prices contained in detailed quotations are guaranteed 90 days prior to the event but bar and wine prices may be adjusted for changes in taxation. Guideline prices only will be given on functions taking place more than 90 days ahead.

Drinks Packages Where a quotation includes an ‘unlimited’ drinks package this is subject to reasonable and fair usage. The Operating Company reserves the right to restrict the service of drinks to specific persons or generally if that is not adhered to.

Corkage No food or beverages of any kind may be brought into the venue without the express written consent of the Operating Company and for which charges will be made.

Our corkage fees are fixed at:
£15 per bottle of wine
£25 per bottle of champagne
£40 per bottle of spirits
£3 per bottle of beer/ale

Catering – to be confirmed dependent on volume/approved outside caterer.

LIABILITIES The Client undertakes to ensure orderly conduct by members of their party or guests. The Client will indemnify the Operating Company against all losses, damages, costs and expenses arising out of or consequent upon a breach of this condition and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing will be fully liable for any and all damage to the venue and/or its contents caused by the client or any of the Clients guests.
The Client will notify on confirmation of booking, events and/or attendees of a high-risk nature that may require additional security.
There will be a liability excess of £1000 should any of the DJ equipment be damaged during an event whereby The Client provides their own DJ.
The Yacht London accepts no liability for any loss, damage or expense to any person or thing however caused other than for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Any goods and items remaining on the premises are left at their owners’ risk.

EXTERNAL CONTRACTORS Should the Client wish to employ the services of an external contractor other than those supplied by the Operating Company at the function, the Client must undertake to indemnify the Operating Company against claims made against it resulting from an act or default by any of the Clients’ servants or caused by any equipment supplied by the client or its servants. The
Term ‘external contractor’ includes but is not limited to Production Companies, Audio Visual Companies, Television, Video or Film Crews, Musicians, Toast-masters. Florists, Photographers and Designers

The Operating Company reserves the right to refuse access to any contractor.

PAYMENT Full payment of the account is due 14 days prior to the event or function, and may be made by cash, cheque or transfer direct to our Bank (details on final invoice). Due to the high collection costs payments made by credit card are subject to an additional charge of 3%.
Any query concerning the agreement or the charges made shall not affect the Client’s obligation to pay on time.

LAW This contract is governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. Please note that amendments cannot be made to these Terms and Conditions unless in writing.
